Significance of the pretreatment factors: pH, temperature (T), holding time (t) and their interactions on the responses enzymatic glucose release, enzymatic xylose release, and on lignin removal from the solid fraction. The significance estimates are based on multivariate linear regression of the responses (glucose and xylose releases) obtained after the standardized enzymatic hydrolysis treatment of samples obtained from the two sets of experimental designs, that is, acidic and alkaline.
