Effect of catalyst concentration during Cu(bpy)-AHP pretreatment on the enzymatic hydrolysis yields. Results for (A) glucose and (B) xylose, demonstrate that yields approach their saturation values near a Cu(bpy) concentration of 2 mM (or 10 μmol/g biomass). Pretreatment was performed for 24 h at a solids concentration of 20% (w/v) and a 100 mg/g H₂O₂ loading on the biomass.
