From: Efficient bioconversion of 2,3-butanediol into acetoin using Gluconobacter oxydans DSM 2003
Time course of fed-batch bioconversion of acetoin from 2,3-butanediol. The bioconversion was carried out at 30°C in 300 mL shake flasks containing 50 mL of medium at pH 6.0. The initial 2,3-butanediol concentration used was 40 g/L, and 20 g/L of 2,3-butanediol was added at 12, 24, and 36 hours, respectively.
