The samples were excited by two photons at 770 nm. The 2P spectral and FLIM images were obtained at the same position and focal plane adjusted at the fiber maximum diameter. They represent a magnified region of the cell wall that evidences changes in the lignin distribution represented by color contrast due to spectral shifts and decay time modifications.
