Turbidity reduction analysis of yeast (Y) and E. coli (E)-expressed LysA and LysA2. Specific activities of 1 μM endolysin were determined using mid-log phase cultures of L. fermentum 0605-B44 (Lf), L. brevis 0605-48 (Lb), and L. mucosae 0713-2 (Lm). To control for the effect of autolysis, rates from control samples (cells alone) were subtracted from the rates of experimental samples.
