From: The exometabolome of Clostridium thermocellum reveals overflow metabolism at high cellulose loading
Carbon balance over commonly reported fermentation end products. The fermentation end products acetate, ethanol, formate, lactate, CO2 and cells as percentage of carbon of the initial substrate loading. All fermentations reached about 100% conversion, except the 100 g/L substrate loading, which reached 93% conversion. All balances are based on the difference between start and endpoint samples.
