S. cerevisiae strains NCYC 2826, 3451, 3284, 3290, 3312 and S. paradoxus strain 3277 were grown in triplicate on YNB, 100 mM glucose in the presence of the shown amount of furfural for 35 h, and ethanol yields were measured on each culture after 48 h.
