Fermentation batches (A) and (B) are shown for 8% glucan AFEX-pretreated corn stover hydrolyzate that was inoculated with a large population of S. stipitis AFEX CSH-tolerant colony 5 repitched from a 6% glucan batch growth during xylose utilization.
