  1. The strain was cultivated in defined media containing 16 g L−1 glucose supplemented with different concentrations of the inhibitors for 2 days. Inhibitory concentrations of inhibitors at 50% (IC50) were estimated from the growth profile. Data are results of triplicate experiments, ±s.d.
