From: Engineering Yarrowia lipolytica to produce biodiesel from raw starch
Starch-containing YPD plate. YPD plate containing starch after 3 days of incubation at 28 °C. The plate was stained with iodine vapor. The strains able to clarify starch were distinguished by the clear zone around the colonies.
