Genomic library approach and sequences isolated in selection experiments. a Illustration of the selection experiment used to isolate tolerance genes from M. aquaeolei. E. coli containing fosmids with M. aquaeolei inserts were grown in the presence of 0.05 % (v/v) pinene. Every 12 h, the cultures were diluted into fresh media with pinene.
