TLC Chromatogram of transglycosylation products by rBGLII. Serial amounts (5–0.075 µg by two-fold dilution) of rBGLII in 50 µL of 20 % cellobiose were subjected to TLC. The reaction mixtures were developed by silica gel plates in n-BuOH-AcOH-H2O (3:1:1, by volume) and stained with 0.5 % thymol in EtOH/H2SO4. G and Sp represent Glucose and α-sophorose, respectively. L2–7 and G2–6 represent laminari-oligosaccharides and cello-oligosaccharides. Arrows represent peaks consistent with the standard substance. Open arrow heads represent unknown transglycosylation products
