  1. SSF was initiated by pre-hydrolysis for 12 h and then the adapted S. cerevisiae DQ1 was inoculated into the hydrolysate at 10 % inoculum to start SSF. SSF conditions: 30 % solids loading, 15 FPU/g DM cellulase dosage, 150 rpm agitation rate; Pre-hydrolysis was conducted at 50 °C, pH 4.8, and SSF was conducted at 37 °C, pH 5.5, respectively
