Fermentation results obtained via HPLC analysis after 144 h. The black bars represent the single-stage substrate and the gray bars represent the two-stage substrate. Fermentations were carried out at 35 °C and pH 5. At both the 75 and 800 rpm agitation rates, the fed batch fermentations on MS1112 resulted in higher ethanol titers than MS1105/7 at both the 2 and 10 L scale. Note the higher titers at increased agitation levels
