Most data points showed deviation below 5 % between duplicate experiments. Error bars in a and b are standard deviations in duplicate experiments. Furfural and 5-hydroxymethyl furfural concentrations were below 0.5 and 0.2 g L−1 in the lab case, and below 0.1 and 0.05 g L−1 in the demo case
