From: Sugarcane transgenics expressing MYB transcription factors show improved glucose release
Total lignin content (%) of MYB32 and MYB42 transgenic sugarcane. Lignin content was quantified by a modified acid hydrolysis method. Acid-soluble lignin was determined by spectrophotometry and acid-insoluble lignin was measured gravimetrically. Acid-soluble lignin and acid-insoluble lignin were summed to determine total lignin content. a MYB31ORF, b MYB31UTR, c MYB42ORF and d MYB42UTR.
