Comparative cellulolytic activity of designer cellulosomes versus free enzymes for extended time periods at 60 °C. Thermostable designer cellulosomes consist of the thermostable scaffoldin that integrates the thermostable enzymes and conventional designer cellulosomes contain the wild-type enzymes. Experiments were performed on Avicel from 24 to 96 h. Each reaction was performed in triplicate, and standard deviations are indicated.
