Time course of glucose yields (g/kg) from pretreated straw and husk at small pilot scale (the glucose reached a concentration of 9 % w/v) n = 5. Saccharification was conducted at 20 % (w/v) substrate concentration, using 1 kg DW equivalent of steam exploded rice straw/husk (pH 5.0). After a pasteurisation at 90 °C, the mixture was cooled to 50 °C and Cellic® CTec2 was added. The hydrolysate was agitated at 39 rpm for 4 days, sampling every 24 h
