Transgenic plants and wild-type Jatropha plants were planted in pots containing soil, manure, and sand in 1:1:1 ratio. Green house condition was maintained at 25 ± 2 °C, relative humidity 60 ± 5 %, and 16-h photoperiod. The light intensity was maintained at a photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) of 240 μM/m2/s provided by 40-W cool white fluorescent lamps
