Synergistic activities of TtAA9E and TaAA9A in the hydrolysis of cellulose by cellulase. Avicel (1%, w/v) was hydrolyzed using Celluclast 1.5 L (0.9 FPU/g Avicel) without (control), with TtAA9E, or with TaAA9A (1 mg/g Avicel) in 50 mM sodium acetate buffer (pH 5.0) containing NaN3 at 50 °C for 48 h. The reducing sugar was determined by DNS assay, and the reducing sugar yields were expressed as % of the theoretical maximal yield of glucose. The data represent means ± standard errors obtained from the three experimental replicates
