Aerobic growth of recombinant S. cerevisiae strains expressing different XIs on xylose. Yeast strains were cultivated aerobically at 30 °C in L-shaped test tubes in the xylose minimal medium containing 50 g/l xylose as the sole carbon source (see "Methods").
