The optimal H2O2 concentration for the production of carboxylate moieties by FfAA11 (a) and CmAA10 (b) was calculated in folds compared with the reaction in the absence of H2O2. Ni2+ adsorption and the formation of total carboxylate groups over time in (1) FfAA11-treated α-chitin, with or without 100 µM H2O2 (c, d), and in (2) CmAA10-treated Avicel with or without 50 µM H2O2 (e, f).
