Determination of the hydrocoerulignone midpoint potentials and oxidative onset potentials by cyclic voltammetry using 500 µM hydrocoerulignone in 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer between pH 4.0 and 8.0. At pH 7.0 and especially pH 8.0, the autoxidation and polymerization of hydrocoerulignone were observed. The data extracted from the cyclic voltammograms are given in the table below and are compared to data for 2,6-DMP (300 µM) from Breslmayr et al. [7]
