  1. Residual activities were calculated based on the concentration of added NcLPMO9C and its determined specific activity (138 U g−1 with hydrocoerulignone; 23 U g−1 2,6-DMP). Assay conditions for hydrocoerulignone or 2,6-DMP respectively: 500 or 2000 µM hydrocoerulignone or 2,6-DMP, 0.3 or 2.0 µM NcLPMO9C, 100 µM H2O2 in 100 mM sodium acetate buffer at pH 6.0 and 30 °C. The pH was measured before and after measurements. Data expressed as mean values (± SD), from three independent repeats
