Functional profile of sugar affinities of C. sojae transporters. Drop-assay analysis on different sugars, 20 g/L, of EBY_Xyl1 strain expressing the indicated transporters and the control vector pRS426. The cultures were incubated at 30 °C for 3 days (maltose), 5 days (glucose, mannose, fructose and galactose) or 7 days (xylose). Yeast cells inocula were grown in YNB complete medium without uracil supplemented with maltose for 24 h. Initial OD600 was established at 1 before a serial dilution. All experiments were performed in triplicate
