Following the induction with 0.1 mM IPTG, E. coli cells were harvested at indicated time points from 2 mL culture. After preparation of cell extracts, 100 μg of total protein was subjected to Western blot. c Effects of Zmo0994 expression level on ethanol tolerance. Also, for the cell growth test, when the cell density grew to 0.5 of OD600, IPTG and ethanol were added to the culture at final concentrations of 0.1 mM and 0–6% (v/v), respectively.
