Colony diameters of A. oryzae after 5 days of growth on agar plates containing different contents of PAC treated with overliming at various temperatures for 4 h (A) and two different pH values for 90 min (B). In the pH experiment, two different initial pH values (pH 10 and 12) as well as manual adjustment to pH 10 throughout the process were tested for a fixed temperature of 80 °C. The experiment was performed in quadruplicates and the graph shows the mean values and the standard deviations as error bars
