qPCR analysis of mRNA produced by R. cellulolyticum Total RNA was extracted from cultures of R. cellulolyticum grown in minimal medium supplemented with 2 g L−1 arabinose, 2 g L−1 WAXY-I (arabinoxylan), 5 g L−1 wheat straw or 2 g L−1 xylose as the sole carbon source. Normalization was performed using the 16S RNA encoding-gene and gene expression level is given relative to xylose culture. Error bars indicate the standard deviations of three independent experiments
