  1. Transcripts Per Kilobase Million (TPM) values of each sample were used. Expression level: high (H), intermediate (I), and low (L). Ratio calculated as: mean of expressed gene number at a certain level/ total expressed gene number of each genome (number in brackets under the strain name). Genes with raw read numbers in each sample below 10 or with summed number in all 18 samples below 60 were treated as non-expressed
