SSF was performed with addition of water (reference- empty symbols), and with addition of FWM (batch addition Configuration C: shaded symbols and fed-batch Configuration D: filled symbols). Batch experiments were performed in duplicate, as indicated by the solid (Configuration Ca) and dashed (Configuration Cb) lines.
