Coculture of two respective L. plantarum strains producing the Cel6A cellulase and the Xyn11A xylanase anchored to the bacterial cell wall. C. Coculture of two respective L. plantarum strains secreting the dockerin-containing 6A-t cellulase and 11A-a xylanase and an additional strain producing the Scaf · AT scaffoldin on the bacterial cell wall, resulting in the formation of the designer cellulosomes on the latter cell.
