  1. Glycosyl residue composition of stem AIR as measured by GC-MS of tetramethylsilane (TMS) derivatives from controls and PdGAUT12.1-KD lines. The amount of sugar is represented as average mol% of AIR (alcohol insoluble residue) isolated from stem walls. Means ± SE of three biological replicates with two technical replicates each. Ital values with asterisks represent significant difference between WT and PdGAUT12.1-KD lines at *P ≤ 0.05, **P ≤ 0.001 significant level (one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s multiple comparison test).
