Significant dependence of xylose uptake rate on the interaction of isolate with hydrolyzate type (P < 0.001). Isolates (identified along x-axis) were tested in a secondary screen on two nutrient formulations of switchgrass hydrolyzate, SGH-N1 (blue bars) and SGH-N2 (red bars), and additionally AFEX-pretreated corn stover hydrolyzate AFEX CSH (green bars) without nutrient supplementation.
