Synthesis of biodiesel from oleic acid and alcohols by ReLipA. (a) TLC analysis of the synthesized products. (b) Time-course profile of butyl oleate production from oleic acid and butanol. (c) Gas chromatography analysis of synthesized butyl oleate after 12 h of incubation. For biodiesel synthesis, 100 U of lipase was added into a mixture containing 1.68 g oleic acid and 1098 μL alcohol (methanol, ethanol, or butanol contained in a 25-mL flask), and incubated at 35 °C for 24 h. Samples taken at different time intervals were qualitatively and quantitatively determined by TLC and gas chromatography
