Comparison of continuous EH data to model prediction. Three continuous enzymatic-hydrolysis experiments were performed at \(5\%\) (a), \(7.5\%\) (b), and \(8.5 \%\) (c) target insoluble solids concentration. A period of batch hydrolysis (gray) was performed before the various reactor streams (solids and enzyme feed, membrane filtration, and purge stream) were initiated to decrease the time for the reactor to reach steady state.
