Growth profile and pigment synthesis of C. pyrenoidosa cultivated in 1% silicone oil nanoemulsion (1% SE) and 1% paraffin oil nanoemulsion (1% PE) compared with control (BG11) in terms of OD680 and Chl-a content. Solid lines in the figure represent optical density and broken lines display Chl-a synthesis. The microalgal growth and pigment synthesis were measured every 48 h up to 12 days. The cultures were operated at 25 ± 1 °C with ~ 46.5 to 50 μmol m−2 s−1 light intensity for 12 days. The data shown are the average of two data points, and error bars represent standard deviation. Data followed by an asterisk (*) are significantly different from control (p < 0.005, analyzed by t-test)
