Expression levels of the putative adh genes (with their corresponding gene number) and the aor gene (Teth514_1380) of Thermoanaerobacter sp. strain X514 during growth on 25 mM glucose (black bars) and 25 mM glucose plus 50 mM isobutyrate (white bars). The transcript abundance of the 9 adh genes and the aor gene was analyzed with qRT-PCR, and is given relative to the abundance of the gene encoding for the DNA gyrase gyrA (Teth514_0010) as housekeeping gene (i.e., relative transcript level of gyrA equals 1).
