Black, blue, orange, red, gray, and purple lines represent glycerol consumption, glucose consumption, xylose consumption, ethanol production, cell density (OD600), and acetic acid, respectively. Fermentation was performed in 500-mL Erlenmeyer flasks in triplicate with about 52 mL of liquid culture with orbital shaking at 200 rpm at 30 °C. Data represent the average value of three experiments. Error bars are the standard deviation (SD) from the mean value
