Antiviral activity (A) and cytotoxicity (B) of AGL. L929 cells were infected with EMCV that had been mixed with 50 mg/mL AGL in DMSO or DMSO without AGL (negative control) and incubated. Relative viral RNA was determined 6 h after infection (A). To determine cytotoxicity, L929 cells were incubated for 24 h in DMEM supplemented with designated concentrations of AGL. Cell viability was calculated by counting the cells stained with amido black after incubation with 0, 1, 10, 50, 100, and 200 μg/mL AGL (B). Data represent the average of four independent experiments, and error bars represent the standard deviation (SD) from the mean value
